#Muzik:: Hybrid Lex (I Can’t Breathe the Air) by DJ CAVEM MOETAVATION

Please support the movement… Words from my brother @IETEF below:

Hybrid Lex (I Can’t Breathe the Air) by DJ CAVEM MOETAVATION .

I am using my music, which is my art, to promote living a more sustainable lifestyle. This song in particular is pushing riding a bike or driving a hybrid vehicle, making it fresh. And giving props to those that do it already. I really do have a low rider bike with 144 spokes, and I did grow up with asthma, this song is a testimony. My mission is to utilize my music to educate and to inform. I mention the air pollution because it is a serious problem in my community. I want people to bob their head, but also think. I want to change the vibe of the club scene, and I am working on a new project called “Eco-Twerk” another branch of my Eco-Hip Hop, covering topics of deforestation, fracking, oil drilling, profit and consumption, the stripping of the Earth. Riding a bike is also great for our health, a way to battle the epidemic of obesity.

#Community:: Happy Black History Month

What we now call Black History Month originated in 1926, founded by Carter G Woodson as Negro History Week. The month of February was selected in deference to Frederick Douglass and Abraham Lincoln who were both born in that month.

Carter G Woodson
The son of a slave, Carter G Woodson was born in New Canton, Virginia on December 19, 1875. He began high school at the age of 20 and earned a Ph.D. in
1912 from Harvard.
Carter G Woodson founded the Association for the Study of Negro Life and History in 1915 to train Black historians and to collect, preserve, and publish documents on Black life and Black people. Black History Month is his legacy.

Eventz:: 2013 Presidential Inauguration | Martin Luther King Jr Day

Today all over the country we celebrated history being made in recognition of President Barack Obama being sworn in for his 2nd term as President of the United States. I say this is history in the making. The irony of it all, the day President Barack Obama is sworn in is the day Americans set aside to recognize another black man in history Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. January 21st, 2013 will forever be remembered.
